Dr. Amar Dasgupta is the President-International Operations, SRL Diagnostics and mentors Hematology within the SRL network of laboratories.
Dr. Shailendra R. Rathod
He did his MD from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India and his PhD from Mumbai University. He did his post-doctoral fellowship in Medical Genetics, Hematology and bone marrow transplantation at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He is a reputed Hematologist with a wide spectrum of academic and professional honors, medals, merit scholarships, fellowships and awards, including the prestigious John Fogarty Fellowship (NIH, USA) and Yamagiwa-Yoshida Fellowship (UICC, Geneva). He is a Fellow of the International Union Against Cancer.
Dr. Das Gupta has served as a Consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Hematology and bone marrow transplantation. He was the Hon. President of the Cytometry Society (India) till 2011. Before Joining Super Religare Laboratories, he served for six years as a Hematopathologist at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, a leading cancer hospital in India and as a Consultant Hematologist and Head - Laboratory Medicine for 17 years at the Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.
His areas of interest are Hemoglobinopathies, Thrombophilia, Anemia of Chronic Disorders and Hematologic Malignancies. Dr. Das Gupta has also been a teacher and Research Guide at the University of Mumbai and guided several students in successful completion of research work. He has more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
Dr. Rathod attained his MD in Pathology from the prestigious Seth G.S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM Hospital), Mumbai; India. He has worked in Hematology and Coagulation, Cytology and Histopathology at P D Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, India.
Dr. Shiefa Necia Joan Sequeira,
Dr. Rathod served as Head of department of Pathology at Suretech Multispeciality Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Nagpur, India.
He is also a trained internal auditor and got his training in Laboratory Quality Management as per ISO 15189:2007 and NABL112 from ETDC/ CETE, STQC Directorate Dept of IT, Govt of India, Banglore. He has Special interest and experience in Semenology and trained in semen analysis with newer advances, sperm morphology, Semen cytology and Sperm Function Tests from the prestigious National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi, India.
Dr. Shiefa Sequeira has earned her Doctorate and Postgraduate training in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College-Manipal University, India. She subsequently began her career in biochemistry at Fr Muller Medical College-Hospital, India. She has served as HOD - Biochemistry at the UEIMS School of Medicine and Dentistry, U.A.E affiliated to University of Seychelles American Institute of Medicine. Prior to her current position she has been working at Fetal Medicine and Genetic Center, UAE.
In addition to her academic and medical appointments, she has good experience in managing Clinical Chemistry services at super specialty hospitals.
She has published and reviewed articles in many International peer reviewed journals. Dr Shiefa is also an active speaker in International Conferences.
Quality assurance and Laboratory Manager
Hiler further attained a Diploma in Laboratory Techniques from Bombay Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India and later a diploma in Laboratory Medicine from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. He is also a trained internal auditor and got his training in Laboratory Quality Management as per ISO 15189:2007 and NABL 112 from ETDC/CETE, STQC, Directorate Department of IT, Government of India, Bengaluru, India.
Hiler has vast experience of working in a NABL and CAP accredited referral laboratory, and has worked extensively in preparing the laboratory for the of American Pathologists (CAP) inspection. He has been working as a consultant for preparing hospital based laboratories for the CAP accreditation process. He has special interest in managing overall lab operations; developing procedures to ensure safety, security, quality and accuracy of results.
